Lupin One-shot: LaidBack Jigen

Comic page, Jigen from Lupin the Third is walking through the woods with a backpack and a fall jacket on and he goes through the process of setting up a tent following the narration instructions. Narration: 1. Find soft ground to put the stakes in. Narration: 2. After deciding on a spot, spread out the tent. Narration: 3. Slide the poles through the sleeves. Narration: 4. Connect the poles to the grommets at each corner. Jigen then puts a chair, table, portable cooker and water bottle out.

For context: Jigen’s new voice actor is also the narrator of Laid Back Camp (another anime I love dearly) and I had to combine the two. Also trying out some new tones I downloaded, I kinda like them. Might do some more tone experiments with more one-shots!

Too Much Space One-shot: Puns

Panel five, Ulf is holding up a glass eye for an older man and saying "I see what you mean!" while the old man laughs heartily at his pun. Panel seven, shows a disgruntled Medii gripping Ulf's shoulder and they're saying "You better stop if you know what's good for you." as Ulf sweats with his eyes wide and a nervous smile.

An Ulf comic written back in April for a comic study month. For those who don’t know, Ulf is a long-standing OC of ours that we might do something with in the future. But here’s a fun one-shot of him at his job.

Lupin III The Curtain Falls

It’s happening!

This is a 50 page comic I’ll be posting for $3+ patrons as I complete pages, so no set schedule but I’ll aim for one page per week.

The comic follows Lupin III in his 60s and dealing with the fact that nothing lasts forever.

It’s a project I’ve been wanting to do for a while now but was a bit nervous to start because it’s a bit ambitious. Thanks to my patrons though, I feel more comfortable spending time doing personal comics and art I really want to create!

I hope you’ll check out this comic that I’m very excited to make.

Something got lost in translation here. Written by Max! The joke was too good to pass up when in one of the movies it’s implied that Lupin and Zenigata do, in fact, text one another.

Casual Confessions

This one was written and drawn by me as I try and dip my toes slowly into writing comics. I tried sketching the first two pages traditionally but I’ve noticed my anatomy and compositions are way cleaner/better if I sketch digitally. Also trying out a new way of toning a comic, unsure if I like it yet or not, but these one-shot quick comics are real nice for testing out things without committing to a whole 300 pg comic! What do y’all think?
