Mixed Drinks: Lupin Intro

Recently a new inspector has been put on my case. He’s no match for me of course, but he’s loads more fun than the last one. Every time I slip out from under his grasp with the treasure he stands left behind, shaking his fist and yelling “Lupin!” into the night. Panel two, the inside of a bar where Lupin is pouring a drink for Zenigata who’s happily chatting him up. Narration reads “He’s a total goof, so imagine my surprise when one night he shows up at my bar! I thought he had caught on, but it turns out he can’t tell I’m Lupin when I’m not in my costume. Since then he’s been trying to hunt down Lupin every day while coming to visit Arsene every evening. I am still the greatest thief in the world and no painting in Paris is safe from my grasp, but with that dope inpector hounding my every step things are going to get a lot more interesting!”

Okay okay, we don’t normally do this but Max and I are excited to do some fun art for an AU we’ve been thinking about.

I’ll tag this one as Mixed Drinks, but I hope you’re excited for some fun art that’ll occasionally go up on Fridays for this!

It won’t be a full comic, but doodles, illustrations and mini comics all mixed in.

March 2024 Lupin Weekly Art Prompts

January 2024 Lupin Weekly Art Prompts

Okay if you haven’t seen the pea car, you need to see the pea car! Also excited to really do all the weekly prompts in a similar way to how I did all my advent calendar ones.

January 22nd: Zenigata’s favourite pen

I went with a fountain pen because, like I said, I’m a big pen nerd! I did some looking in to old Japanese pens. It was tough to pick between Zenigata having a really shitty pen, or a stupid expensive one. In the end I went with this one.

Lupin Canon vs. Headcanon

Beside that is a part two Jigen, then Jigen in my style. Under those, show Goemon in his part one style, then my own style. Beside that shows Fujiko in part one and then my style. Under those shows Zenigata in Miyazaki’s style, then my own style. Beside that shows Yata in the part six style, then in my own style.

Saw this template on twitter a while back and had to try my hand at it! It’s very fun style matching, especially since I’m doing that for my day job right now.

I drew my version first then tried to match various Lupin styles that inspire me and put the characters in the same pose/expression.

Give it a try, it’s a fun challenge!

Lupin Advent Calendar 2023 Days 16-24

The last 9 Advent Calendar drawings I did based on prompts posted over at lupiniii.club and what a fun event that was! It felt a lot like when I’d do inktober every year, which I do kinda miss. So many I’ll do another Advent Calendar for 2024!

Lupin Advent Calendar 2023 Days 7-10
