These two sketchpages where done about a month a part and I think with the second one I’ve really figured out how these old men should look! I’ve finally cracked the code.

Michelle wrote this one after we’d brainstormed the idea a bit together! I like the idea that Yata’s been trying to get him to confess for a long time now. Yata seems like the teasing type if they’d actually give him a personality like in Prison of the Past. I also like it when Lupin has no idea what to do in a situation. Especially if it comes to someone else’s feelings. He’s not a feelings guy.

Some sketches while I was on vacation. Wow I loved the space AU pilot (Lupin VIII), it’s so soft! I also read and finished the manga which is not soft but still good in a different way.

Just got CSP (which I’ve never used before) for my S6 yesterday and I’ve been having a good time testing it out – although I have this really strange glitch that happens on every art program I try with my Staedtler stylus where I lose pressure sensitivity every few lines while in landscape mode. I have no idea what causes it or why it happens! So now I usually just draw in portrait.

Back at it with some new sketchdumps of Lupin art after collecting all of the stuff I’ve done since June. I’ve been on a roll for a few months and haven’t been able to stop.

Okay, I’m going to try my best to stop making so many thank you posts in these descriptions. Anxiety am I right?!
Lupin is fun to draw and his dynamic with Zenigata is really interesting, and I’ve just been having such a good time exploring it!
Okay comic time! This one was inspired by my good friend Allison O’Toole!
Also thanks for sticking with me while I took a break from posting comics for a bit, that really helped me get a small one-shot buffer going and I’m real excited to share some silly little comics with y’all!
Basically what’s going to happen for a while is on Tuesdays I’ll be posting one-shot mini comics; some Lupin and some Dead City. Just whatever comes to mind for a while to practice on until we move on to a new webcomic.
Hope you stick with us because we got some fun ideas in the works!

We have so many one-shot ideas to share with y’all and I gotta say they have been such a joy to work on.
I was really worried after finishing Dead City that comics would be hard to do after, but shifting gears after and doing some really fun kind of self-indulgent comic work has helped my anxiety so much.
I think I’ve also been really scared of people leaving now that Dead City’s done, and while I really wish I had a webcomic ready to go as soon as Dead City ended it just wasn’t in the cards yet. But I want to assure you that we’ll be back with another big story, we just need some time to rest and recharge.
I hope you’ll stick around and enjoy some of these small comics in the meantime and look out for new stuff to come! The best place to get that info is on Patreon or on my Twitter @jeypawlik

And I got to draw these doofy boys who I love so much for a good cause. Fun fact: the painting in the background is one I did from when I was at Sheridan.
