Here’s October’s sketchbook! October was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster but I got through it and I have some sketches to offer you in this trying time!
It’s a lot of silly Lupin doodles this time, I needed something to keep me kind of grounded and that’s what’s been helping me lately.

Been doing a lot of studies, an online drawing class, and a lot of ttrpg designs in last month’s sketchbook!

I’ve been thinking a lot about my sketchbook recently: changing up the paper in it now that my usual is being discontinued, how to manage doing traditional and digital art at the same time, what I want to be drawing. It’s a journey!

I used the #maysketchaday as inspiration to have a practice month. I made a sort of course for myself to try out and really work on bettering myself as an artist and I think it was a success!
This is something that I’m thinking about making into a zine soon when I have a bit more extra time to do some write-ups for it. Look out for that, because $5+ patrons get access to all the zines I publish for no extra cost~

March was… a lot. But I persevered and finished my 30 page sketchbook still! My sketchbooks might be mostly studies, concept art and sketches for a while. My partner and I are self-isolating ourselves as our area has a lot of community transferring, we’re keeping ourselves safe by staying inside, but my creativity has really taken a blow because of it. So it’ll be concepts and sketches for a while!

Here it is, the second sketchbook for 2020! It’s got a lot of Lupin studies in it, but I’ve been having such a good time studying the different art styles the show has to offer. I’m thinking about doing a 20-30 page short story about the Lupin gang and so I’ve been working hard to perfect my designs for them.
I also completed my residency at the Canada Comics Open Library, in which I’ll do some more journal comics about that. I just posted a blog post on their site with a written version of the talk I did on February 23rd, I’ll be linking everyone to that soon. It was a really great experience and I’m excited to move on to new things for March!

It’s here! 2020’s first sketchbook! I’m doing things a little differently this year and I’m very excited because I think this new sketchbook setup has really helped with my art block. I’m using a discbound setup which I might take pictures of it soon. It’s also a lot bigger than my previous 5.5×8.5 books, and it’s now 8.5×11 so more sketches for y’all!
