I did a manga study month a while back and I learned so much by doing these studies. Say what you will about the Lupin III manga, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think Monkey Punch was so good at his craft. He did a lot of great panels and layouts that you just don’t see in modern manga.

When my 7 y/o nephew saw the sketch for this he asked if this was Luke Skywalker! He then proceeded to ask me about all the things the cool sword could cut.
Every so often I just fill a sketch page with this man’s face
