Hey it’s my birthday so I want to plug my comics!

Alola Darumaka: A 4-koma slice-of-life comic about Daven and his rambunctious partner Pokemon, Darumaka! Daven and Darumaka move to Alola for school. Is Alola ready for Darumaka?

One-shots: One-shot comics just for fun! Various 1-6 page stand alone stories. Includes: original, fanart (mostly Lupin III) and miscellaneous characters.

Dead City: A zombie apocalypse has hit Toronto and Mikael and JP are alone in the city and struggling to survive. While they’re searching for food and shelter they find something else as well.

Gender Slices: A collection of short autobiographical comics about being trans and nonbinary in a ciscentric world. Jey works through their own feelings in short, one page comics that depict their day to day experience.

He yells “Doesn’t that bother you?!” Panel three is a wide panel with young Lupin in the center from the shoulders up. He’s mad as Jigen accuses him. He says “No. Should it?” Panel four is an open panel of the two boys looking at each other from a side view. Jigen is leaning back away, while Lupin leans in closer with a determined and expectant expression.Comic with three panels, done in black and white with halftones. Panel one floats atop a big open panel. Young Jigen is startled and unsure of himself, he says “N-no…” Panel two is a big open panel with no borders or backgrounds, it shows a confident young Lupin with his hands on his hips and his eyes closed. He says “I mean my grandpa is into guys too, you know. So I know what’s up!” Panel three is a big wide panel with Jigen in the center from the waist up. He’s blushing and looking down and to the left with his shoulders by his ears, still a bit tense, but smiling now. He says “Uhh, yeah. Okay. Cool.”

An idea I’ve had for a while, even before Zero, but after Zero came out I thought that’d be the perfect way to present the idea.

This page in particular, the dialogue has been floating around in my head for probably well over a year now.

Also testing out TrueGrit’s halftone machine on this comic and… I gotta say y’all, I kinda love it! I’ve been wanting to do more halftone work but haven’t been able to find a look I like or a method that fits well with my workflow.

Did a request stream not too long ago (before Tears of the Kingdom came out). Everyone requested some really fun drawings! I especially like Mikael wearing Elton John sunglasses. We also tried to parse Ganondorf’s hair in TOTK.

Family

Had this idea back in December. It was originally about Lupin with a black eye, but then then the finale of Zero came out and I liked Lupin’s dad way more than I ever expected! So Jigen’s dad became the jerk of this story instead. My intention for “family” here is “we’re married” and not “we’re brothers”.

Update:
Ohmygosh @rants-about-opm wrote a fic based on this comic and it’s so extremely cute and on point! They really got what I was going for and expanded this 3 panel comic into something really sweet.
