Four summer birds that I’d seen while on my summer vacation. I do love seeing the heron every year!
Some slightly uncommon birds where I’m from which is always exciting! I’ve only ever seen a bald eagle in the wild twice so adding one to my Birds I Saw series was a real treat.
Continuing my “Birds I Saw”, these were from up north last year! I always get the Eastern Phoebe and Kingbird mixed up from afar.

When I went with family to see the solar eclipse last year at the Royal Botanical Gardens it was a bird extravaganza!
More birds I saw last year! I was very close to that chickadee which was an absolute delight. It was right above my head.
In 2024 I decided to draw every new bird I saw and I’ve started compiling them all. I do manage to take photos of 90% of the birds I see which helps me draw them later. So get ready for some BIRDS!
