May 15, 2017 – Call for artists opens
May 29, 2017 – Call for artists closes
June 5, 2017 – Artists are notified
July 31, 2017 – Submissions are due
August 7, 2017 – Rough PDF is sent to artists/adjustments made
August 21, 2017 – Zine goes on sale
Submission Guidelines
-must be 6”x9” (1800x2700px) at 300dpi JPG, PDF, or PNG format
-a shark be the focus of the piece (humans & other animals are allowed to be present)
-traditional and digital artwork, original photography, and comics are what will be accepted
-you are more than welcome to submit more than one piece
-only new pieces will be accepted, please do not submit a piece that you have made previously
-lesser known species are encouraged!
-no anthropomorphic sharks
-no nsfw content (including gore, death, blood – we want to promote a friendly zine)

Also important announcement time: this is the last update before our month long hiatus we do every May! For our hiatus this year we’ve got GUEST COMICS! I’m so excited. The guest comics will start next Tuesday and last the whole month of May. So keep an eye out for those!
A redo of a doodle I did back in July I think, before I even started drawing up Dead City pages. Frig those zombies took forever to draw out, and for the fact that I’m lazy… most of them are cameos from things I like, or things I’m going to work on in the future.
Also here’s a coloured version of Mikael and JP, from mine and Octokracken’s webcomic Dead City, which I’m really excited to be working on and putting up for all of you to read! It’s been a little over a month now that it’s been up on smackjeeves, and I think we’re doing really well!
It’d be really cool if you all went to go read it and tell people about it!

Kanto at the Guild
I was in a Kanto Art show @galleryattheguild last month and these were the pieces I did! I was lucky enough to get all three of my favs together AND they’re numbers match up so they were actually put up on the wall in this order.
That’s pretty awesome right?! I couldn’t NOT make a big connected piece!
