Hey, I was wondering, what pens do you ink your comics with?
ohhboyyyy!!! this is my kind of question!
It changes up every so often. I did a post about how I make comics about a year ago now: here
And now I use different pens, which I’ve also started reviewing on my patreon.
But right now my favourites are:
Sailor Fude de Mannen 55
Kuretake 13
Pilot Metropolitan
Fountain Pen Revolution flex Guru
So I hope those are some good recs for you, I’m always ready to talk about pens!
A while back I did a mini Gender Slices comic: “Dean”. The story of how I got my first taste into defying gender stereotypes. I was about 8 and it was 1998 so things were pretty different. I still have Dean and he’ll remind me of all I’ve been through and how far I’ve come!
A few people asked for it to be posted as a whole so here it is!
Gender Slices can be read on Topaz Comics & Tumblr, as well as early access pages on Patreon!
Gender Slices: is an autobio comic about my own thoughts an experiences with gender and identity. I am nonbinary and use they/them pronouns.
You should relax JP!
Also heads up that we’re going on comic hiatus throughout May–but never fear there will be GUEST COMICS to fill the void!
Dead City: A zombie apocalypse has happened and Mikael and JP are left in the city trying to survive after most of the population has fled. A slice-of-life post-apocalypse comic. Sometimes you find love in weird places. Like when you’re trying not to get eaten.

Welcome back, we’ve decided to continue Dead City in human form. Sorry to all those who wanted a comic about cats. We hope you enjoyed our April Fools comic this year!

It’s #transdayofvisibility and I just wanted to make a post about it.
I’ve been out to the public for 3 years today and it only gets better and easier. People are understanding and more respectful (mostly).
But for those people who aren’t out, or can’t be out yet I want to be a voice for you. I want to show you that you’re not alone.
So I want to strive making queer and trans friendly comics for everyone to enjoy.
I’m the artist for “Dead City” which is written by my partner Michelle. It’s a zombie apocalypse story with more character development than zombies.
I also draw and write an autobio comic “Gender Slices” about my own experiences with gender all based off things that have really happened to me.
I posted this on Instagram a while back but I like it so much I had to post it here too!
Mikael what are you even doing?
Also big news: we’re opening up for guest comics! Be sure to check out the post on that!
