Dead City Update: Chapter 31, page 2

Thanks everyone for sticking with us during our May hiatus and visiting us at TCAF and to our guest artists! Now our boys are back in town and regular updates can commence!

Latest Page | Read from the beginning

Dead City: A zombie apocalypse has happened and Mikael and JP are left in the city trying to survive after most of the population has fled. A slice-of-life post-apocalypse comic. Sometimes you find love in weird places. Like when you’re trying not to get eaten.

Alola Darumaka References

Here’s fullbody references for Daven, Darumaka, Leif and Exeggcute for the comic that Michelle and I are working on right now! We’re posting sneak peaks on Patreon currently, so head over to Patreon for more info!

Daven is a student from Unova who’s come over to Alola for school. Darumaka is his partner and he loves her so much! While Leif is a laid back Alolan citizen with their partner, Exeggcute, who they just call ‘Eggs’. Daven is staying at Leif’s place for the school year and hilarity ensues!

Protomon Collab: Puddi

I was apart of this collab where a bunch of artist’s got together and drew the prototype pokemon that were posted a while back. I was given this lil’ friend to draw, while not my first three choices, that’s alright.

It’s been a year or so since I drew this and I don’t know if the collab is still happening. I haven’t heard anything from them. So I’m just going to post this here!

May 2019 Wallpaper: Mermay

Michelle and I had a great time at TCAF and now that it’s over my posting schedule should go back to normal soon!

Mermaid AU
Mikael is a red dragonfish who lives on the coast near a small town. He’s friends with some locals and has a good life, but doesn’t know any other merpeople. JP is an orca and lives in the ocean with his pod. JP met Mikael as he was travelling through the coast and he almost immediately fell for him.

I’ve drawn them as merpeople many times before, but it looks like this is the only sketch I ever actually posted.

Rust Waist-up Commission

A commission for someone who asked of a good shirtless reference of my own character, Rust! I’ve never gotten a commission for my own character before but it was a lot of fun!

Rust means a lot to me as a character. I’ve had him since 2011 I think and he’s gone through a few redesigns but I’m so happy with where he is now! I’m glad people like him!

We’re Still Here: A Trans Anthology Comic “ID’d”

Comic page, a transmasc individual walks through an LCBO (Canada's government owned liquor store). They walk through the aisles lined with wine bottles. Their phone begins to vibrate and we see it's "Theo" with a photo that shows these two are twins.
Our protagonist picks up the phone: Hey bro. Yeah, they have it. Anything else? They pause and we do not hear what Theo is saying but it takes our protagonist off guard. They respond: Uh! No, I haven't seen it. They're now very nervous and sweaty but walk up to the cash. Still on the phone they say: When I get home I'll help you look for it. Yeah. Okay. Bye. The cashier deadpan asks: You got ID? Our protagonist looks nervously away and then back to the cashier with a fake smile. They say: Y-yeah! One sec! In their wallet, they have their Ontario Driver's License which shows an old photo that no longer looks like our short haired, sideburned protagonist. The name reads "Diana Jolie Archer" and the sex is "F". However, they pull out a second ID from behind it that looks more like our protagonist and reads "Theodore Joel Archer" with the sex being "M", the implied missing object from the phone conversation. The cashier holds the ID up to our protagonist and okay's it. Our main character sighs with relief as they leave the store with a paper bag. They say: It's only for one more week. As they anticipate their new ID to come in.

A while back I was in the anthology “We’re Still Here”, and now I’ve been given permission to post my full comic. It’s a story I’ve been playing with for a while, especially since this was written before I changed my name and gender marker on my own ID. The characters featured here might also show up again soon, so look out for them~
